Amazing art of Aaron Howdle

This blogpost is an appreciation of the work of super-talented artist, Aaron Howdle who was kind enough to send me the awesome steampunk submarine illustration at the top of this post.

A DM chat led me to his website where reside more incredible work. My father was a draughtsman and growing up he had a large old school wooden drawing board set up in the back room of our house.

Because of this I’ve always loved technical drawing (as it was called at school) and this love of fine line drawing , combined the awesome invention and imagination on display is why I love Aaron’s work so much.

I especially love his Flying City Illustration, which has been given a delightful Terry Gilliam-style make over by an animation studio.

Please watch it here and check out the rest of his work.
